The US Economy a Ticking Bomb

Every American citizen should be aware of the US Debt Clock that records the obscene national debt. Millions of dollars are added to our national debt on a daily basis. Truly, our generation is passing on a debt to following generations. Sadly, most of the spending at the Federal level is appropriated without any concern as to the Constitutional authority for these appropriations.
The Center for Fiscal Accountability and the Americans for Tax Reform have calculated that the American worker slaves an average of 224 days to fund government at all levels. Those in Sarah Palin's Alaska work for the government only 192 days (lowest in the nation) while those in Gov. Corzine's New Jersey work 249 days for the government each year. You can review this report at the Fiscal Accountability website.Of the average 224 days, 111 days are spent working to pay for federal spending, 49 days for state spending, and 65 days for regulations at all levels.
The TARP bailout plan added 18 days yearly to the calculation.
Government spending is out-of-control. Americans must rally to stop additional levels of government, such as the Obama Health Care Plan and the foolish Cap and Trade legislation. Unless we act quickly and decisively, we will soon resemble the socialist democracies of Eastern Europe.

I notice that people, even right wing people, are no longer reading this blog, its so far left of main stream that even right wing people see the editors ego is too much in the way.

Paul Krugman, nybooks.com, and the Conundrum/McAllen Texas article in New Yorker tend to disagree with you on this one.
As I told a Doctor in WalMart last night little South of here, I think I will stay with them.
And I called Congressman's Aderholt's office yesterday and challenged his collective staffs to read the articles and themselves and the Congressman give an account of their thinking on these matters in light of the above articles.
As a proud grad of Bham Southern I told his staffers I imagine Bishop Willimon and the BSC President was expect no less of Aderholt.

".... left of main stream.." Now that's a new for me. That couldn't be farther from the truth regarding the editor of Musings. As a personal friend, I can attest to the fact that you will be hard pressed to find many people farther to the right than the editor of this fine blog. It seems as though jealousy might be the driving force behind your comment. However anonymous, you must be thanked for your ridiculous accusations against the editor. I haven't laughed this hard in a long time.

If you followed the whole blog answer you will see I put in "right' left was a typo. Jealous, no way, you just don't know the man. But happy you had a good laugh.Too, you might want to investigate his association with certian unsavory groups which can be found on net.

Also, your first sentence is gramamtically wrong, take look if you please. "now that's a new for me." uhm!

First, your ardency in following musings is quite obvious. You stated that people are no longer reading this blog. Apparently, you aren't including yourself. Also, the view of the editor is not extremist according to many data that has been released in recent months. The majority of American's feel the direction our country is heading is too liberal. Another notable statistic, a larger percentage of people are becoming more conservative as opposed to more liberal. You've given no evidence to back up your claim.

Also, you suggested I don't even know the man. I can assure you there are few if any that know the editor better than I. There are no "unsavory" groups that the editor associates himself. That accusation is even more ridiculous than your others.

If you're going to continue to defame the name of the editor, then please go else where to do so. The majority of individuals that read Musings from Maytown are supporters of the editor and do not appreciate your false accusations.

I can think of one unsavory group.

Baptist Hereticus,

I think the only unsavory relationship the editor of this blog has is being a friend to me.

I will be traveling over your way soon. Let's get together for some coffee and huckleberry pie.

Once again, John, you are absoutely right.

I would weadd that we must protect Medicare from Obama and his health plan czar Ezekiel Emanuel, who has admitted it would like to end Medicare.

foxobama said that he graduated from B'Ham Southern. What year did he graduate? did he know Rob Skelton, the USAF Thunderbird Pilot? or is foxobama just do his usual BS? I imagine Aderholdt's staff just ignored him the same way that Bear Bryant and Joe Namath did. Aderholdt comes from German stock. "Deutschland uber Alles." foxobama should change his name to foxb.hussein.
